Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Ingredients

1 loaf cinnamon raisin bread
6 eggs
1½ cups milk
1 cup light cream
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ cup soft butter
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup chopped pecans
1 tbsp corn syrup
maple syrup

Directions

Butter a baking pan. Arrange bread slices, overlapping and fill pan completely. Mix next 6 ingredients and pour over slices. Refrigerate overnight.

The next day, preheat oven to 350F. Combine butter, sugar, nuts and corn syrup and spread over bread. Bake 40 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve with warm maple syrup, or cranberry compote for a festive touch. Enjoy!
